How many students are in each tutorial?

Group tutorials require a minimum of 5 students to run each year, and enrollment is capped to keep groups small. The number of Guided Independent Study opportunities varies each year. Inquiries about availability can be made here.

What technology does my student need?

Students will need their own email address and a Google account. The tutorial uses the flexible Google Classroom interface along with Zoom for live meetings, which are recorded in case of absence. (Note: Creative Writing tutorials are not recorded.)

How much is tuition?

Each tutorial has a $25 nonrefundable registration fee. Tuition for Creative Writing is $300. Tuition for all other tutorials is $450.

When is tuition due?

By submitting a registration form, you are reserving a seat for your student and agree to be billed once minimum enrollment has been met. Tuition will be due upon receipt of the invoice and can be paid via PayPal or personal check.

Do you offer refunds?

In the event a student should drop the tutorial after payment has been received but prior to the second meeting in August, 50% of tuition funds minus all transaction fees will be refunded. After this date, no reimbursement will be made as it is unlikely the seat can be filled.

In the event the tutorial is canceled by the tutor due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

When do the tutorials begin? Do you take breaks?

The Academic Calendar provides starting dates as well as dates for the various breaks throughout the year.
