World Literature explores how stories shape humanity and how this shared humanity has shaped our own stories. This tutorial has weekly 75- to 90-minute meetings over two 15-week semesters and covers time-honored classics of world literature. Texts are broken down incrementally to ensure complete understanding. Highlights and key points for each work are discussed in class. Grammar is explored as a means to improve writing style. The tutorial requires weekly note taking. Students demonstrate their knowledge through weekly assignments, essays, and exams.
Students who wish to pursue honors credit will create a customized path from a set of provided options. An assortment of additional titles along with deeper, more complex assignments will be available.
