Amy Craven, a lover of words and a lifelong educator, graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA with a BA in English. While teaching at her high school alma mater, she earned her MA in education with a concentration in secondary curriculum and instruction at SDSU.
Since 2002 she has been using her English skills in a variety of contexts from writing curriculum guides to critiquing essays to proofreading legal documents. In addition to homeschooling her own children since 2006, she has been teaching English online to middle and high school students since 2017.
She holds California Single Subject-English and Multiple Subject teaching credentials, is a Registered Instructor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing, and is currently pursuing a professional certificate in Creative Writing through UCSD.
